Vivian Hsia Davis

Vivian Hsia Davis is a human resources executive and leadership/executive coach with experience supporting organizational performance, leadership, and human capital. Her professional career spans over 25 years, overseeing human resources and professional development, with non-profit healthcare organizations in acute care and post-acute care settings that range from community based, regional health systems, to internationally recognized institutions. She is experienced in all areas of human resources, to include strategic human resources, talent acquisition, retention, benefits, compensation, performance management, communications, organizational and leadership development, and employee engagement. Based on her previous roles as Vice President, Human Resources and Chief People Officer, she is extremely knowledgeable of the many challenges and opportunities within healthcare as well as the talents, skills, aptitude, and resilience needed for success.

 

Throughout her career she has guided and coached staff and leadership at all levels within the organizations she served. She has supported organizations and individual leaders through a myriad of complex organizational changes, including growth, rightsizing, process improvement, workforce development, leadership development, and culture and change management. Vivian’s success and effectiveness have been attributed to her vast experience in healthcare, exceptional listening skills, ability to develop strong relationships that are built on trust and mutual respect, and level of emotional intelligence to support individuals towards achievement of their best performance with empathy, respect, and compassion.

 

She has a natural interest and intrinsic motivation to support individuals to achieve their best and has the demonstrated talent and abilities to guide them towards those goals.

In addition to leading the Human Resources and Education functions, Vivian has operational experience serving as a leader in the areas of volunteer services, telecommunications, occupational health and wellness, and leadership development. Responsibility and oversight for these operational areas have further enhanced her leadership skills and provided her a broader depth of experience.

 

Vivian is also passionate about diversity, inclusion, and equity.  She is personally involved in efforts to support those who are underserved, those who are less privileged and disadvantaged. She advocates for and supports underserved populations through her work serving as a Board Member for the Let Us Keep Engaged (LUKE) Foundation.

Educational Background and Certifications

In addition to 25+ years of experience in human resources senior leadership, Vivian has completed Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance (LCOP) and an International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified and accredited program through American University. A member of ICF, she is actively working towards Associate Certified Coach (ACC), an ICF certification. Vivian is certified in Healthcare Human Resources (CHHR), accredited by the American Hospital Association (AHA) and a member of Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). She has a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Maryland, Global Campus and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Towson University.
