Leadership Development Institutes

The purpose of leadership development institutes is to develop a comprehensive, systematic approach for bringing individuals together to enhance their leadership competencies and ability to work collaboratively. It combines both individual development coaching and group learning sessions.

Peer Coaching

In Peer Coaching we work with small groups of people (4 to 6) identified and approved by their leaders to participate in the process.  The engagement is approximately 6 months long.  Participants meet approximately every 2 to three 3 weeks.  The purpose of Peer coaching is to:

  • Accelerate leadership learning

  • Learn how to be coached and to be a coach to others

  • Provide opportunities for people to optimize and self-direct their learning

  • Provide a forum for people to have valuable conversations, reflection, and develop skills  that apply the GROW (Goal; Reality; Options; Will) framework for coaching conversations


There are 3 options.  All options have these components:


  • Meeting with leader(s) to identify initial goals and expectations

  • Meeting with Peer Coaching group to clarify goals and establish expectations

  • Coach to goals

  • Wrap-up meeting


There are additional components to the second and third option.


Option 2: One-on-one coaching sessions are added to the engagement

Option 3: The participants takes two assessments and meets with a coach individually to review results and implications/impact on their leadership

Senior Team Alignment

Leadership Enhancement Associates facilitates a process to align leaders with their vision, strategy, expectations, and mutual accountability. This process is designed to support a culture in which entrepreneurial flexibility and infrastructure are in balance. It builds a profitable business through investment in leadership and organizational talent. The following activities are key to the process:

  • Assess leadership and team competencies

  • Create consensus with the business culture and its direction

  • Develop leadership team charters (behavioral norms)

  • Develop strategies to assist the Senior Team to effectively lead the organization

  • Establish team direction and goals

Team Coaching

In this service Leadership Enhancement Associates coaches the entire team. We design and facilitate group coaching sessions on topics and issues identified through surveys, interviews, and observation of team meetings. We provide real time feedback during meetings. We identify and provide tools, resources, and materials to address issues, skills, and challenges faced by the team as a whole and as individuals. These include conflict management, communication, problem solving, and much more. Our goal is to enhance team effectiveness and intensify team alignment.

Team Development

We work with clients in a process designed to assess the effectiveness of teams by using a variety of individual and team assessment instruments. We facilitate the process to:

  • Analyze team performance

  • Define the characteristics of the team

  • Develop a team charter (behavioral norms)

  • Evaluate and follow up

  • Plan for improvement

  • Implement action plans
