Teresita (Terry) skillfully uses a blend of her operational, organizational development, and coaching background as she supports her clients in achieving their goals. She helps clients discover and articulate their desired results and develop strategies to achieve those results.  Specifically, she is experienced in assisting her clients in building leadership and team effectiveness, capitalizing on strengths of leaders and teams, re-inventing new approaches and perspectives, developing and facilitating organizational training for core competency development, supporting, and championing ongoing organizational change, and promoting engagement in difficult conversations, decisions, and situations.

Terry takes a holistic approach to her work with clients by combining leadership coaching, leadership and team development with organizational effectiveness. She believes that highly effective organizations today continue to promote a learning environment and seek leaders who not only develop their own skills but also promote that learning throughout their teams. She has also developed, facilitated, and coached in numerous leadership development programs in varying organizations and industries. Recently, Terry led a global organization in the development and facilitation of their inaugural Women’s Leadership Program and participated as lead coach in the pilot program of a Leadership Program for High Potentials for a large, multinational European organization. 

Terry has worked with a broad range of clients from many industries and sectors of government.  Industries in which she has extensive experience include health care, hospitality, finance and accounting, manufacturing, sales, pharmaceutical, technology, and professional services.  Terry also has extensive experience with different sectors of the government including consulting firms that work exclusively with government contracts and agencies within the intelligence community and federal government. Terry has worked with leaders and teams at the World Bank Group, Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Freddie Mac, Capital One, the National Security Administration, Customs Border Protection (CBP), National Park Service (NPS), RAND, Booz Allen Hamilton, SKF, Air Products, and numerous health care facilities and organizations such as MedStar, several hospitals in the Maryland and DC area, and Medidata. 

Prior to coaching leaders, Terry held leadership positions in finance and accounting, operational, and services organizations.  In addition to her personal experience as a leader, Terry has focused her education, consulting, and coaching experience in leadership development and effectiveness.  Her extensive experience in change management, organizational effectiveness, and leadership development combined with her personal experience as a leader enables her to assist her clients to attain their goals.  This combination of experiences has been helpful perspectives when assisting her clients gain more objective viewpoints in their challenging situations and organizations.

Education

Terry holds a Professional Coaching Certification (PCC-level and MCC-level coaching hours) and has degrees and certificates from Fielding Graduate University, Johns Hopkins University, and Georgetown University.  Terry is qualified to administer and facilitate the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and conducts related workshops.  She is also certified to use and administer The Leadership Circle Profile (TLCP) a multi-rater feedback instrument in addition to other 360° instruments and self-assessment tools.
